Gramatik's "The Age of Reason Tour" Arrives in NY Tonight

If there's an electronic equivalent of Jazz, Gramatik might just have found it with his blend of instrumental, electronic funk that takes the familiar basslines and sampling of the digital music world and mixes them into fantastical grooves that seldom need words to hook you in. Currently Gramatik is midway through his Age of Reason Tour and will be appearing at New York City's Webster Hall with supporting acts Cherub and HeRobust starting at 8pm. If you like live music and you're in the city needing something to do, you can't do much better than Gramatik. It's like Jazz updated for the dubstep/electronic era. For a taste of his music and a listing of the rest of his tour dates, check out below.

Few Gramatik tracks sum up his incredibly smooth and chilled sound as "Just Jammin'"...

Here's another fantastically laid back track, "Hit that Jive"

And, finally, for something a little livelier and closer to dubstep, try "While I was Playin' Fair"...

Here are the remaining concert dates, if you have the chance to catch him in another city, I highly recommend it. I guarantee it will be one of the most enjoyable, easy-going nights of live music you'll ever take in.

He's a TV junkie with a penchant for watching the same movie six times in one sitting. If you really want to understand him you need to have grown up on Sgt. Bilko, Alien, Jurassic Park and Five Easy Pieces playing in an infinite loop. Recommend something to him - he'll watch it.
