A while back, Kino announced that a Blu-ray special edition of Fritz Lang's Metropolis is coming in 2009, but in the wake of the recent discovery, there's more to this release than just another Blu-ray transfer of previous versions.
The folks at Digital Bits confirmed with Kino International that the lost footage recently dug up in Buenos Aires will be included in this special edition. What's more, this new (and more complete) version of the film will also be released on standard DVD on the same day.
