"W." Tagline: A Life Misunderestimated

Take a look at these new W. posters that Film School Rejects found in downtown Denver, Colorado; apparently just pasted on a wall outside a construction site. The tagline reads: "A life misunderestimated."

Denver is, of course, playing host to the Democratic National Convention later this month. Interesting choice of venue to put up a previously unseen poster, no? With the release date fastly approaching (October 17), maybe a grassroots approach, hitting election hot spots, would be their best strategy to raise awareness on this fast-moving film.

Should have known that they'd use a famous Bushism as a tagline, though. Kind of obvious when you think about it really. Yes, folks, "misunderestimated" is not a real world in the English language. It was coined by the President the day before the 2000 election when he said "They misunderestimated me," but the word gained more notoriety when Bush repeated it several times during a speech the week after 9/11:

"The folks who conducted this act on our country on September 11th made a big mistake. They misunderestimated the fact that we love a neighbor in need. They misunderestimated the compassion of our country. I think they misunderestimated the will and determination of the commander-in-chief, too."

Head over to FSR to see a picture of the posters. While we wait for the official version to be released, here are two stills recently released from the movie:
