In a recent Podcast with Kotaku, Valve's Chet Faliszek stated that "One of the things that we're going to be announcing really shortly is some DLC on, you know, the PC and 360. And that's the kind of thing that we're looking at. We'll be adding in some versus maps and some new stuff."
As a Left 4 Dead fanatic, this is fascinating news. Whenever VALVe releases some DLC, it's always perfect for the game. Take Team Fortress 2 for example. VALVe has managed to add in entirely new weapon sets for the Pyro, Medic and Heavy without breaking the game in any way.
Whether VALVe adds the rest of the campaigns for versus or even some new special infected remains to be seen. In fact, on the official Left 4 Dead forums, people were getting very excited over some sound files that started with "zombiedog". Who knows, maybe we'll get a cannibal dog to play as in versus?
