The domestic trailer for the new coming-very-soon Street Fighter movie centering on Chun-Li (Kristin Kreuk) and her vengeance-fueled feud with M. Bison (Neal McDonough) has been released online, courtesy of IGN.
It mostly uses the same shots from that Japanese trailer we posted last week, with a few new additions.
Despite the unforgivably stupid poster, I-I don't know... I still think this could be somewhat fun. I realize that this doesn't automatically make it a better movie, but it's pretty cool how this movie is taking on the canon set by Capcom and also the comic book series by Udon (Gen training Chun-Li hints at the comic continuity). Screenwriter Justin Marks is a comic guy who wrote the adaptation of Hack/Slash and is doing the script for the Green Arrow movie. Could be safe to assume that he drew some elements from the comic series.
On top of that... Hey, old school wirework. As long as there won't be any CGI or unnecessary slow/fast motion during the fights, I'm good.
