Is there any rapper/R&B artist out there that doesn't hit women? The poster boy for good and true of the R&B community has taken a fatal blow to his image and one that will not just cost him millions in endorsements, not just his career and not just his girlfriend who might just dump his ass after beating her publicly, but he might also lose his freedom.
In case you had not caught on yet or heard, Chris Brown did in fact beat Rihanna (if it was with an umbrella then that is ironic) in their Lambo while passing near the Staples Center to go to the Grammy's. This begs many questions, but the ones in my mind are as follows:
1. At 19 what would possess you to not just beat your famous singer girl, but do it in public in a Lambo and then flee the scene leaving her with bruises, bite marks (not the kinky kind) and abrasions?
2. What in the hell made you do that to a women?
3. Knowing what your image is, even if you beat women why the hell would you do it before an event like the GRAMMY'S! Which only airs on international tele as well as it gets millions and millions of viewers which probably means there are millions and millions of now former Chris Brown fans.
4. It was loud enough of a scuffle for a stander-by to call the 5-0.
Knowing all these factors she would really have to have done something beyond all to have "forced" Brown to commit such an act. Did she say that you can't have any alchy cause you only 19? Wah... I'm Chris Brown and I can't legally drink...Wah.
Now let us think for a moment and say that he didn't do it. Whether or not you beat her or Casper the rapist ghost did it, the point is your career and image is tarnished and ruined. I will be surprised if your next album (if there even will be one) sells 100,000 copies. Our society these days is unsympathetic to anyone even accused of beating, raping, hurting any women. I mean look at the Jonas brother who left Taylor Swift? They got so scared of losing their fan base that they played a totally free show in Nashville with several special country star guests. All cause he left Swift for Camille Belle. Buddy you don't have a chance. If you think PETA sucks try out the American public when dealing with either a missing white girl (you still hear about the whole Caylee Anthony thing all day) or a beaten women (ok, not quite as much as missing whitey's).
Weather you did this act or not should not concern you as you know that you F'd up by leaving the scene. What the hell were you doing? Getting an Angry Whopper from BK? You should probably stay away from those from what I have been reading.
When they are using the word "Horrific" to describe what her injuries looked like then you got some problems. All I can say is good luck. You're only 19 and people might forgive you for this, but if they don't you will wish you were MC Hammer - living off of one (or two if your Tyler, haha) major song and the knowledge that you failed terribly. Your legacy as of now, is of a womanizer and typical thug. You tarnish not only yourself, but the community you are a part of in the R&B world and you have sadly lost many fans, friends and most of all respect.
Good luck Chris Brown...you'll need it.
[I want to thank Furious Styles for giving me some correct info on the situation]
In addition, the police have reportedly stated that Rihanna's bruises and lacerations, "look like an MMA fighter or something ... looked like she was growing devil's horns."
To continue on new information, apparently 2 days before the incident occurred, at the Verizon & Blackberry Storm Grammy party on the 5th, Brown and Paris Hilton apparently were talking and made their way outside together during Rihanna's performance and Rihanna caught wind of it. Surprisingly [being sarcastic here] she got pissed and flipped on Brown and spent the rest of that night stuck on him.
As they customarily do, they arrived separately on the 7th at the Clive Davis bash [day of the incident]. Apparently the real problem hit the fan when Rihanna found an ex's number in his phone which set off [apparently] the fight.
In addition to this, several radio stations have pulled all, I repeat ALL of Brown's music including a local Cleveland, OH station due to, "Listener Outrage." As I said, whether or not he did it, it is already effecting his career.
