U.S. Government Targets Gamers In Latest Anti-Weed Campaign

And with this, the U.S. government's AboveTheInfluence campaign officially jumps the shark.

The U.S. government is targeting gamers in its latest AboveTheInfluence ad, informing them that one puff of a joint could spell doom for their gaming skills. You don't want your Call of Duty 4 k/d ratio to suffer, do you? Neither does the U.S. government.

The web site warns that "getting high affects your brain in ways that may directly influence your gaming ability" including "many of the skills required for winning a background, defeating an opponent, [and] beating games."

Site visitors are encouraged to navigate a diagram of a stoned gamer by clicking on various "hot spots" to learn how weed damages gaming necessities like perception, memory, and eye-hand coordination.

But the drama doesn't end there. AboveTheInfluence interviews video game characters who, thanks to a pothead gamer's sloppy play, are battered, bruised, and out of the fight.

"I used to have a good time with Lyle. We made a good team. He had skill. He had swiftness," says a pink-haired female ninja. "Well, he used to, anyway. Then our last fight, Lyle decided to get high. And it was simply: sayonara skill, sayonara swiftness."

She then proceeds to take a sip of coffee while still wearing her mask. Apparently, she's not the only one toked up on MJ.
