Steam, the best digital distributor out there for games, has recently begun releasing demos...but no products. What does this mean? Is VALVe really letting indie games go on with no royalties? The answer to this, of course, is 42.
It started out simple--a game demo but no game to buy. Many just assumed it was just a preview of sorts. However, then the game "Mightier" was released--as a demo.I personally remember playing the game Mightier, for free, on a different website.
Does this mean that smaller indie games have a chance to be played by thousands, no, millions of people? For FREE?
