Recently, JPP contributing photographer Isabella D'Onofrio had the pleasure of attending mewithoutYou's record release show for their newest album, It's All Crazy! It's All False! It's All A Dream! It's Alright. The show took place at The Tracadero in Philadelphia, the band's home town; and luckily for us, Isabella was gracious enough to take some photographs of the show for our viewing pleasure.
Since the concert took place in the band's back yard, mewithoutYou was able to involve a few of their musician friends into the performance. The band played It's All... almost in its entirety, but also threw in some old favorites such as "January 1979" and "A Sweater Poorly Knit" into the mix.
Frontman Aaron Weiss' much talked about energy that he brings to each and every performance was present as usual at the concert, and it easily spread amongst the enthusiastic crowd. Once the band broke into an encore of "Allah, Allah, Allah" followed by the song "Timothy Hay," the crowd really came together. D'Onofrio, who has seen mewithoutYou play a number of times in the past, was quick to say that "(it was) definitely one of mewithoutYou's top performances in my opinion." Check out the set of beautifully shot photographs from the concert below.
