Sony Reveals PSP-Go, Getting Rid Of UMD

That's right! This new PSP-Go has done away with the UMD optical drive for good! With no more UMD drive, the new PSP-Go is lighter than the original, which also means it will boast a longer battery life as well. The PSP-Go rocks a 3.8" screen, 16GB of internal memory and Bluetooth technology. No UMD can only mean one thing...Fully downloadable games from the PS Store.

Downloading games will ensure the PSP-Go turns an easy profit, as it does awy with the need to ship as many UMD's to the store. This could be a huge turnaround, as the PSP hasn't faired well against the likes of Nintendo's DS
