Wizard! Wizard Rap!

If you're not already camped out in front of your multiplex trying to get the best possible seats in the theater for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, we have a treat from the guys over at Indy Mogul - a rap-off between wunderkind Harry Potter and Voldemort, the guy with an unspeakable-thus-useless-name. While it may not have the same versatility as Vanilla Ice's "Ninja Rap" from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze (a movie so great I'm compelled to write out the full title), there is something to be said for the ending which took 7 books to reach but only 3 minutes to re-write with a rap score. Or something. Anyways, if you enjoyed the Wolverine: The Musical bit they put out a little while back then feast your eyes on this:

Okay, so is it just me or did Harry sound a little like Mike D. from the Beastie Boys? With that aside, it is nice to see and ending that makes a little more sense (mass magical nukeage by the dark one). I know Rowling wants the books to have a happy ending and I know she ditched realism the second she added wizards, but if I know anything about massively powerful forces of evil (and I do), they don't mess around with overly-complicated plots and mechanations - they get right to the point. By that I mean they kill as many of the people they hate as fast as possible. It's just good business.

He's a TV junkie with a penchant for watching the same movie six times in one sitting. If you really want to understand him you need to have grown up on Sgt. Bilko, Alien, Jurassic Park and Five Easy Pieces playing in an infinite loop. Recommend something to him - he'll watch it.
