How's this for a dedicated case modification for you? The Russian modding site CaseMods.ru created this amazing Wall-E computer shell that's constructed very close to the real thing, with movable parts and all. The trash compactor in Wall-E's body is replaced with a DVD-Drive, while all the ports are on his back.
Wall-E's boxy body makes him perfect for these types of mods. I'm sure you can create the same "robot" and insert gaming console parts in there too. Any modding expert would like to give that a whirl?
To see how they did it, check out the site, which has photos of every step of the process. It's in Russian, but you can run it through Google translator and it's adequate enough to read. At the very least, take a closer look at photos of the finished product on the last page.
