As far as anybody should be concerned, there's at least one great reason to play DJ Hero, the latest music simulation game from Activision. That reason is the ability to assume the alter-egos of electronic twosome Daft Punk.
Aligning themselves with a video game for the first time, Daft Punk has licensed their trademark looks and performance—one of the venues playable on the game will mirror the stage and lighting of Daft Punk's recent show—as well as exclusive new mixes just for the DJ Hero.
Rolling Stone mag uncovered a list of 8 out of the 11 mixes appearing on the game, right here. The one that I can already hear in my head right now?
Daft Punk “Da Funk” vs. Queen “Another One Bites the Dust”
DJ Hero uses 100+ individual songs licensed by Activision from a wide range of genres (from Nirvana to Gwen Stefani to Eminem and Marvin Gaye), composed into two-song mixes by prominent DJs exclusively for the game.
In addition to Daft Punk, the game's mix artists include but not limited to Grandmaster Flash, DJ Shadow, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Scratch Perverts, DJ Yoda, DJ Z-Trip and the recently deceased DJ AM—with scratches provided by DJ Blakey. Not to mention DLC songs.

DJ Hero will arrive in stores October 27.
