This is all part of the 70th anniversary celebration (which was technically in August) that included the release of the 4-disc Ultimate Collector's Blu-ray set
The concert featured performances of the beloved songs from The Wizard of Oz by the likes of Jennifer Hudson, Bilal, Julianne Hough; with none other than The Roots' ?uestlove on drums.
Our man Lex went to the event. I asked him how it went and this is what he said:
Lex: I realized that I represented the minority group out of the three present. 47% Women Ages 18-50, 47% Gay Men Ages 26-55, 6% Men dragged by a Woman Age 19-26.
Me: I would be in an even lower minority.
Lex: Being what?
Me: Men Who Went Willingly 18-30.
Lex: There were none of those. Every straight man there was trying to get into the pants of the first group.
Me: It's as good a place as any.
