Will-a You-a Marry Me! Mario!

Not everyone knows how to make their marriage proposals memorable. Oh, sure, it sounds easy enough—get a big enough rock, bend on one knee, put your entire dignity into four little words. But what if you want to do something a little more creative? Gamer Brad Smith had the bright idea to insert his into a Super Mario game and got his girlfriend to play it.

Brad used a program called Lunar Magic, which allows you to edit your own Super Mario World for your SNES emulator, in case you're planning on copying his method. This made me smile, because I actually snared mine with a geeky Super Mario themed proposal too, though I didn't use any software. Too bad I didn't have Brad's foresight to capture it all on video. If you ever run into me in a diner somewhere, buy me a $5 milkshake and I'll tell you all about it.

For good measure, here are two other similar proposals using video games. First with Little Big Planet, then an epic Chrono Trigger one.
