Ahhh the proverbial countdown of the biggest and baddest dudes (or chicks) this side of the galaxy. From the psychopath to the "take over the world" baddy we have them all. Who will be number 1? You may think you know who it is because of every other time you've seen a countdown, well think again. This countdown takes into account even the most random of games as well as games that have been forgotten in time. Read on to find out who makes this list. You'll know certain ones but will have to definitely google others. Read on!

15. Klogg (Neverhood, Skullmonkeys)
Klogg tried to takeover the Neverhood only to be defeated by Klayman and was sent into space only to land on the planet of the Skullmonkeys. He then takes out a Skullmonkey puts on the skull and takes over the Skullmonkeys then he again attempts to take over Neverhood. This guy cannot let things go and wants to take anything over he can. Truly...a egomaniacal baddie.

14. Astaroth (Omikron- The Nomad Soul)
The demon who tricked you into playing this game to trap your soul and take it to gain more power to take over his world. That is what Astaroth wants and by playing this game you did exactly what he wants. He sends his minions to impersonate government officials and even uses a fake NPC to get you to play. A demon who wants to rule everything...old school idea but with a new twist.

13. Master Hand (Super Smash Bros.)
A hand...that wants to end your game by bitch smacking you into the galaxy. Master Hand is truly a douche. From his attacks to his creepy fingers that dangle, he wants to end you in the worst way possible.

12. The Reapers (Mass Effect 1 & 2)
Synthetic beings that have a sole purpose to destroy every living organism only to leave a few to redevelop life to allow a cycle of organic "food" to regenerate so they can again consume it to feed. Truly terrifying and enormous beings that would put fear in any person's eyes.

11. Necromorphs (Dead Space, soon to be Dead Space 2)
If you thought Xenomorphs were terrifying these guys put them to shame. You literally need to take them apart limb by limb to kill them and even then they might just mutate on you and come back at you. Turning your back on them for a moment can mean a sloppy bloody death for Issac Clark. Oh, and just like Xenomorphs they are lead by a Hive with one purpose, consume and multiply.

10. Bowser (Anything Mario Based)
The koopa who has been after Peach, Mario and Luigi for 2 plus decades now. He has been kidnapping and racing and doing really anything possible to mess with Mario. Sometimes he even helps Mario only to get something out of it, but in the end he wants to do something to Mario...what it is...we don't know...yet...

9. Mehrunes Dagon (Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion)
The Dark Daedric prince himself is a towering inferno of Goro looking terror. He has a giant war ax as well as a wolverine-esque blade on another hand and comes at you whole his Daedric minions attack you as well. Based on sheer size he is one scary S.O.B.

8. Ridley (Metroid Series)
Leader of the Space Pirates and a major nemesis of Samus Aran, Ridley steals the Metroid and goes to planet Zebes. Ridley attempts to stop Samus on any occasion and makes multiple appearances in the series as well as some great battles in the games. Truly one of the most bad ass pirates ive ever seen.

7. The G-Man (Half-Life Series)
While you cannot say he is good or evil you know this, he runs things, he knows more than you and at any point he could easily dispose of you. At the end of the first game if you refuse his offer you are surrounded with an imminent death while he says, "no regrets Mr.Freeman" just before your killed by hordes of creatures. Truly terrifying.

6. Team Rocket (Pokemon)
The Pokemon stealing Team Rocket always came in at some of the worst times of the game. They were persistent and honestly, annoying. They used the same damn pokemon all the time and never figured out that maybe not using poison, psychic, and Ekans or Arbok all the damn time they might have been able to beat you. The leader though...he had a good set to duel with and was a real fight.

5. Nemesis (Resident Evil 3)
Possibly the most terrifying creature based on looks alone. Seeing him may give you the feeling of being totaly F'd on the spot. The worst part of it is that you couldn't even dip out on him to a different area cause the titanic bastard would fallow you! Add on a mental ability enough to wield a weapon a well...you might just be F'd.

4. Scott Sheppard a.k.a. Scott Shelby (Heavy Rain)
Sheppard creates a fake identity to cover his Origami Killer persona and becomes Scott Shelby. He is a truly believable character throughout the game, but his dark side is one full of something that only a game or movie can show us. Drowning little kids because its how your brother went out is quite a way to grieve. In fact, I would venture to say its psychotic.

3. Sephiroth (Final Fantasy VII)
The egoistical self proclaimed god will always be in the tops of baddest bad ass bad guys (say that 3 times fast). He has extraordinary power, vitality and resilience. He takes forever to defeat and his sword is long enough to cut down a full forest. He is so bad ass though you have to love him. Without him Cloud would have just been a winey kid with the Buster Sword. Sephiroth set a personality tone for future gaming and showed what a real self-centered all powerful being could really do...Thanks Shinra...great plan ya had.

2. You (Shadow of the Colossus)
You single-handedly help the evil Dormin become whole again by defeating the 16 colossi that his power was split up into. Wander (you) are then engulfed by Dormin only to be hit with a spell that essentially turns you into a baby and grows horns out of your head. Then you must atone for your crimes in Ico.
And finally the Number 1 baddie for today...
1. Frank Fontaine (Bioshock)
He not only uses you, he puts you under a mind control as well. "Would you kindly?" became a sentence that I to this day, still fear. He possessed many different peoples and which you know him mostly as Atlas. He brags of becoming a Chinamen for a while as well. He has you do the dirty work of offing Andrew Ryan and he only grows more powerful while you do more and more to help his scheming. Fontaine is the disturbing mixture of Sephiroth and Nemesis. He wants to rule and he doesn't give a damn about what he kills. Fontaine set a new high for all time greats in terrifying bad guys and for the hoops you have to jump in this game, it is a shame we may never see him again.
How do you think these stack up? Who is missing or doesn't deserve this? Let the debates rage and the terrible language directed at me begin!
