The musician who provided the soundtrack for the enjoyable French film Amelie, by director Jean-Pierre Jeunet, is playing the Highline Ballroom (431 W 16th St, between 9th & 10th Ave) tonight in New York City starting at 8pm. If you've seen the film you're more than familiar with his whimsical melodies. This is the second night of a two-night event, the first of which was played with an orchestral backing; tonight he plays with his usual band.
