On April 20th, music great James Taylor will be playing Carnegie Hall in NYC as part of his "Roots" tour and as part of the site's "Around the Globe" series, featuring songs that explore the styles that have shaped his signature sound over the years. Accompanying him at this show, and along the tour, are the likes of his son, Ben Taylor, as well as Robert Cray, Jerry Douglas, Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Danny Kortchmar, and Alison Krauss. The April 20th Carnegie Hall performance marks the last stop in the first leg of his spring tour, but don't worry, because the second leg starts just two days later, and amazingly enough there are still a few excellent seats available; but considering the location and the legendary talent involved, be prepared to fork over ~$135 (though I wouldn't be the least be surprised to see these tickets vanish quickly).
