Bridesmaids is one of the few comedies coming up in this summer of big-budget blockbusters and it looks like it's going to be a decent estrogen-infused counterpart to the off-the-wall guy humor of The Hangover Part II. Working in its favor is the reunion of comedy powerhouse producer Judd Apatow and Paul Feig (he created Freaks and Geeks) and then the loaded cast of comediennes with Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Ellie Kemper and Melissa McCarthy. As one of SNL's best current assets, Wiig has been doing her fair share of comedies lately and, even if the films themselves don't take off, she usually hits a homerun in whatever role she has.
