IFC Films has released the trailer and poster for the upcoming all-girl vampire flick, We Are the Night. Directed by Dennis Gansel (of the 2008 adaptation of The Wave), We Are the Night stars Karoline Herfurth, Nina Hoss, Anna Fischer, and Jennifer Ulrich as the lead and the trio of vampires, respectively, who suck her into their dangerous world of bloodlust and hedonism.
Here's the official synopsis:
Lena (Karoline Herfurth) gets by as a petty thief. On one of her nightly job runs through an underground club, she meets 250-year-old Louise (Nina Hoss), a glamorous vixen, who is also the leader of a vampire trio with wild child Nora (Anna Fischer) and elegant Charlotte (Jennifer Ulrich). Louise falls head over heels in love with Lena and bites her. Once bitten, LENA discovers the curse and the blessing of her new, eternal life. She revels in the glamour, but quickly discovers that the endless blood thirst and murderous appetite of her new girlfriends come at a steep price. When Berlin police commissioner TOM SERNER (Max Riemelt) begins investigating the women, it is just a matter of time before their day comes and events spiral out of control.
It looks pretty good and more promising than most vampire flicks these days.
