The Cure for the "Green Lantern" Blues

Green Lantern hit theaters last Friday and while its opening weekend haul was decent for a summer blockbuster with $53.2 million, but even that counts as low when it's compared to the superhero flicks so far. X-Men: First Class scored $55.1 million on its opening weekend, Thor's opening weekend gave it $65.7 million and so the only chance Green Lantern has to not come in last for this year's Superhero race is if Captain America takes a major dive. Yet, that's not where Green Lantern got burned hardest. Critics saw red after their screenings of Green Lantern, deriding it for its poor dialogue, shoddy special effects, and the unfortunate casting of Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan. I can't say I'm too surprised that it got panned, but even I didn't think it would be that bad.

So to help ease the pain of everyone who went and saw Green Lantern over the weekend and wants some better Green Lantern goodness to cleanse their palette, we're giving away a vintage Green Lantern t-shirt ($32) from Junk Food.
