First Look at Space Combat Game "Strike Suit Zero"

Taking their cues from the likes of Wing Commander, Gundam, Appleseed, and any other franchise were people inside war machines wail upon one another, Doublesix Games has created a new space combat game called Strike Suit Zero. The game is slated to release in the first quarter of 2012 and represents Doublesix's second game after their first, Burn Zombie Burn!, debuted in 2009. Doublesix recently released the first images from the game, and for a game that will be going to PCs and consoles (as a downloadable title), the game looks pretty decent. There might be some unfortunately flat round edges, but overall the presentation looks to have some promise and the backdrops look pretty spectacular. And who doesn't love to pilot a huge mech to pummel spaceships against backgrounds of brilliantly rendered stars, planets and nebulae?

Check out the screenshots and concept art from Strike Suit Zero below.

He's a TV junkie with a penchant for watching the same movie six times in one sitting. If you really want to understand him you need to have grown up on Sgt. Bilko, Alien, Jurassic Park and Five Easy Pieces playing in an infinite loop. Recommend something to him - he'll watch it.
