Take a blues sensibility and combine it with vocals born of a gospel and you come somewhere close to describing CeCe Teneal. Hailing from Florida, CeCe has been touring while championing her efforts to raise awareness about homelessness. Not surprisingly then, you'll notice plenty of related imagery in her music video for her cover of The Beatles' "Eleanor Rigby" (or "All the Lonely People"). She slows the beloved song down while reducing its instrumental background to a blues-y twang and then lays her soulful vocals over the top. The result is a beautiful combination that makes for one of the more respectable covers of the song we've heard.
