Finally, the first trailer for the new Street Fighter movie is online, though it's only the Japanese version.
As promised, the film looks like it's maintaining a HK martial arts film vibe. Looking better than the Van Damme film already. Minor quibble, though... I know they're going for a more down-to-earth style, hence the ditching of the costumes from the games, but Neal McDonough's M. Bison isn't very recognizable as Bison (and what's up with the 'stache?). Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li stars Kristin Kreuk as the famous character looking to avenge her father's death at the hands of M. Bison's Shadoloo criminal organization. It stars Michael Clarke Duncan as Balrog, Black Eyed Peas' Taboo as Vega, Chris Klein as Charlie and Robin Shou as Gen. It opens February 27th here and in Japan the next day. |
