A red band teaser trailer for the sequel Crank 2: High Voltage has been released online. After being thrown off a helicopter at the end of the first movie, assassin Chev Chelios (Jason Statham) has his heart replaced by an electronic device that he has to keep charging with electricity.

That... looks even worse than Crank. I know the movie has a big following (our own Saul is a big fan), and that's fine, but is there a reason for it to look so DIY? It's shot on a consumer Canon HDV camera, so that explains the crappy look, but the cinematography looks like they put no effort into it whatsoever. I know, I know, it's all deliberate because it's in-your-face and PUNK RAWK and whatnot... but, y'know, if I open a restaurant and I serve tomato soup that I took a massive corn-filled dump on, I don't think telling the customers "It's meant to be that way" is gonna cut it. This trailer is defecating on my soul.
