Surprisingly, The Spirit is noticeably absent, despite the critical beatdown delivered by most critics (I wasn't too kind on it, either) that puts its Tomato Meter rating at a sad 14%, the disappointing box office, a For Your Consideration video and a campy Samuel L. Jackson giving it extra Razzie credential. Instead, these are the movies contending for worst of 2008. Worst Picture: Such choices! I know a lot of people are pulling for a Shyamalan sweep. Then there's High School Musical 3, which isn't just a bad movieāit's also directly responsible in the Great Laming of our culture. Personally, I'd like to see either a Meet Dave or Love Guru win, just to warn off Eddie Murphy and Mike Myers from further embarrassment. |
