We've got two more weeks until teen-lit sensation Twilight finally hits the big screen and we'll know once and for all if it really is the next Harry Potter or if it's just a lot of wishful wank on their part, but the cards are in their favor as Fandango is reporting almost 100 sold out showings already, surpassing High School Musical 3's ticket sales at the same point pre-release.

MovieTickets.com is also reporting that the pre-sales for Twilight on their site this week surpasses Quantum of Solace. Sigh. If only Let the Right One In gets this kind of numbers.

According to Fandango's moviegoer survey conducted last week, out of 5000 Twilight buyers asked, 92% say they're planning to see it opening weekend. 95% of them are female, and 58% are under 25. Hmmmm...

Stereotyping is easy when you've got statistics.
