Back in August, we told you that Superbad director Greg Mottola is directing the latest Simon Pegg and Nick Frost project, Paul, a road movie about two British geeks travelling across America. A Variety article telling the future projects of various directors contains a tidbit as to the real plot of this movie, which is apparently a Sci-Fi comedy.
Edgar Wright is exec producing, but this won't be a part of the trio's series that began with Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. Those were written by Pegg and Wright, while this one is Pegg and Frost's baby. To further make the distinction, Simon and Nick are trading places in this one, with Nick Frost playing the lead and Simon Pegg the bumbling sidekick.
