Adam West never needed the bat signal, because he preferred a more direct way for Commissioner Gordon to contact him. Gordon only needs to pick up a red phone and suddenly the one in the Batcave flashes. Red Hot Phone is selling a replica of this, and yes, it actually lights up. To keep it accurate to the TV show, this phone is answer only. You can't dial from it, but you can buy an additional circuit box that hooks up two phones together so that when one phone's receiver is picked up, the other one automatically rings. Pretty cool, if you have $112 to spend on a phone that can't dial.
