Update: Replaced the poster shot with the official image from the official site. Download these in desktop wallpaper form there. Remember those character posters that debuted at Comic Con with Kirk, Spock, Uhura and Nero all combining to form the Star Trek emblem? Paramount outdid that in Las Vegas' official Star Trek convention this weekend by giving away those four Comic Con posters, plus four more characters done in the same style. Clockwise: John Cho (Sulu), Simon Pegg (Scotty), Anton Yelchin (Chekov), and Karl Urban (McCoy). At Comic Con's Paramount booth, they were giving these posters away in a frenzied state, letting fans just crowd around the booth while their staff just hand over rolled up posters to dozens of arms waving around in the air trying to grab them. As a result, even though officially they were only supposed to give one to each fan, many—including myself, I'm not going to lie—just kept coming back for more. But it was hard to get what you wanted. I ended up with an Uhura, a Nero, and three Kirks. Tried as I might, I just couldn't score the Spock poster. What the hell was one supposed to do with three Kirk posters? Grumble. It looks like things were more organized at VegasCon, with each fan given the choice of two posters. You know, what's the point of collectable Voltron-like mega-poster if you can't catch 'em all? Check out TrekMovie.com to see a photo of the poster table set-up as well as a hi-res image of the combined posters.

Why post fuzzy images from TrekMovie when the Official Star Trek Movie site has high-quality wallpapers of these new movie posters? Look in the Downloads section of the official site... http://www.StarTrekMovie.com/ |
