The quality's terrible, but them's the breaks. This scene takes place right after Tony Stark finds out that his own weapons are being used to terrorize peasants. Before he drops in as Iron Man to destroy those weapons, though, first he must create an alibi. So he throws a big pool party in Dubai, where Ghostface is one of the partygoers.
I can see why they cut the scene. For something so unnecessary to the story (the film works just as fine with him simply flying over to the Middle East and back), it runs too long. Although I'm pretty impressed with Jon Favreau's writing of lame pick-up lines. I guess when you're a billionaire genius inventor, pick-up lines are just a formality. Wanna know what my favorite is? It's actually not in the movie. Jon Favreau is currently writing a comic book mini-series for Marvel called Iron Man: Viva Las Vegas, with art by artist Adi Granov, who worked as a conceptual artist on the movie. Here's a page from #1: I gave that line a try. It was not well received.

Wu-Tang fans: disappointed that Ghostface Killah's cameo in Iron Man was cut from the final film? Don't worry, because you'll be able to see it as a deleted scene when the film hits DVD September 30th. In the mean time, Access Hollywood showed the scene in question and we've got a video of it.
