The more I see of this movie, the funnier it becomes. Short of some spectacular dramatic crescendo, this could be a credible contender for a Razzie. I'm not sure it's even Josh Brolin's fault, but this Dubya performance is more than a little odd. Unless he's supposed to be blitzed on coke in this scene, which is not impossible. I'm still curious to see if this movie can succeed at all. Would people be interested in seeing a reflective look at Bush so soon? He's still in office. I know he has a lot of supporters, but how many are planning on a nostalgic look anytime soon? It reeks of bad timing. Either it's going to be too early, or it's four years too late.

Oliver has a loser on his hands with this one. To make a film about the world's biggest asshole is a career wrecker. It's a bad thing Oliver has done. He lost me and I'm sure I'm not alone. |
