USA Network has commissioned a new series based on Thank You for Smoking. The show will be a follow-up to the movie, with main character Nick Naylor in his kindler form after shedding off part of his tobacco lobbyist ways at the end of the movie. While he will remain as morally ambiguous, Naylor on the series will have a more sympathetic heart, using his lobbying skills to help people in need, like a modern day Robin Hood.

Since the series will not entirely focus on the tobacco industry, it will be aired under a different title. Our suggestion for USA? The M.O.D. Squad. Copyright infringement be damned.

The pilot is being written by Jim Dodson, with Thank You for Smoking\'s producer David Sacks executive producing the show.

It\'s unknown if the producers will try to get Aaaron Eckhart to reprise the role on TV (the likelihood of that happening is a big fat zero). If not, they would have a tough time casting someone with the same level of charisma Eckhart brought to the cocky role.
