An Online Television Festival? PDF Print E-mail

First off - if you know what a Film Festival is - then you probably know what a TV Festival should imply: Producers showing off their created pilots.

So enter PilotLite see what you think...

But this site's doing the entire deal online instead of setting up a festival space with live showings. While I find myself watching lots of streaming TV - the concept here seems somewhat hit and miss. I'm willing to sit down on my PC and watch those shows online because I

1) know there are no commercials

and

2) know the shows have proven themselves.

In this case it's spending time online watching shows that could either be horrible, okay or awesome.

One that caught my eye though was called Batman of Suburbia. Hell yes.

Okay now if they're all up to par with this - I'll stick around and watch some more.

But an Online Festival - part of me thinks this takes a way from the whole Festival atmosphere. On the other hand it's online so it could technically increase exposure/participation.

I just dunno.
