John Legend Gets Political PDF Print E-mail

We here at JPP pride ourselves in not taking sides in political matters in our news stories. Though I'm sure all our staff members have a wealth of opinions on the subject, the last thing you need is another pro-liberal or pro-conservative news source shoving political opinions down your throat.

With that being said, when the soulful r&b singer John Legend took the stage last night in support of Barack Obama, this was a political news story I just had to share.

At the opening of last night's Democratic National Convention, John Legend premiered a brand new song titled "If You're Out There."

The song and the performance were both quite stunning. Legend opened up to the Denver crowd, crying out his overtly political statments of hope, "If you're ready we can shake the world / Believe again / It starts within / We don't have to wait for destiny / We should be the change that we want to see."
