Metallica: ...And Bargains For All PDF Print E-mail

I haven't laughed out loud at a picture like this in a long time. With age comes maturity. For the metalfathers of Metallica, so does a desire to find killer deals on Armani.

Metallica's one-stop shopping excursion after the jump.

I received this pic via email, so I can't give proper credit to whoever captioned it. So whoever you are, I bow to your greatness. You are indeed the Caption King of Kings.

I realize some people don't like Metallica, and I haven't liked most of their stuff since the Black Album (which wasn't great), but their stuff in the '80s was quite good and certainly changed the face of music that still resonates to this day. Most of the hard rock acts today are influenced at least 2nd or 3rd generation down, if not directly, from Metallica's '80s metal.

That being said, they might all be douchebags and moreso now. One thing they are not, and never were, is corporate fluff. To compare them to N-sphinct or the Backdoor Boys is just to throw your credibility out the window. You might not like their music, but they aren't manufactured. They are their own honest band that ran out of good material, and had bad business understanding.

...and talks like a duck, and sues people like the RIAA, and supports ruining poor families by dragging them through court and bankrupting them?

IT DOES NOT MATTER ABOUT THEIR MUSIC.

The moment they started touching the public in a way that was not with their music, but with lawyers, they sacrificed all their musical legacy.

No small feat of hypocrisy, fooling their fans into think they are metalheads and rebels and free-thinkers, when they are really only corporate shills greedily fighting over every nickel and dime...with their fans.

I am surprised anyone (except for a minority of balding 40 year olds) even give a flying phuck about MeLOLica anymore.

Grow up Rob, using stupid teenager crap like LOL is so childish and if you've got any idea about music at all then you'll still "give a flying phuck" about absolute cla*sic albums like Master of Puppets.

they did try to sue me i laughed at that one hard, when i tried to reply they uldn't let me. I wanted at the time to let them know that I downladed it because I wanted to see if it was any good which it wasn't so I promptly deltedf it and never bothered since it sucked. I think they sued everyone becasue their albums took a huge turn towards suck and they lost alot of money woth that combined th mp3 at the time. oh well, won't save me from buying anohter craptallica album, still have my guitar and the 80's albums to rick out to!

Okay, yeah, Metallica isn't the band they were in the 80s... they've gotten old, sold out a bit, haven't made a decent album in 15 years (fingers crossed on the new one -- let Kirk have the leads, demmit), have personal and family issues and went after people downloading their music. They're human. They made mistakes, they obviously realize that the made mistakes (look at how they're releasing their new CD)... and they still love to make music -- isn't that what matters in the end?

Everyday people talk about Metallica, like they're so amazing, without saying a single word about the other thrashers. Listen to Slayer, Exodus, Heathen, Viking, Kreator, or Megadeth. All of which kick the ever living s**t out of anything Metallica has ever done. The only decent album they had was Kill 'Em All, and that was because Dave Mustaine from Megadeth wrote half of it. What I've heard of their new album is still trash. If you're playing thrash you should be wearing s**tty a*s jeans, a gross sweaty shirt, and some ridiculous hi-tops. On the topic of the new album, its nice that they decided to make another Re-Load. Great job!
