Audrye Sessions is a group that features a former fashion model turned bassist and a guitarist found on Craigslist. Needless to say the band's story has been an interesting one thus far, and chapter two begins just as soon as the band releases their debut album through Black Seal Records early next year. Hailing from the bay area, The Sessions don't necessarily offer anything overly unique with their sound, but their palette of melodic indie rock is an enjoyable and calming experience. The first single off of their upcoming debut, "Turn Me Off," is presented in a relatively calm and upbeat demeanor, but lyrically the song is dark and ominous. According to Karazija the song is based on "a show where James Gandolfini interviews people that have come back from war. There was one guy who lost his eyes and his life has completely changed. He has these awful dreams and doesn’t want to be alive. The song talks about being so messed up that you want to be shut off." Audrye Sessions will be heading out on tour across the west coast this fall. They'll kick things off at the Tonic Bar in Reno, NV on September 14th and eventually make their way to the CMJ Music Festival in New York. The band will share dates with the up and coming indie rockers What Laura Says, Alabama's Wild Sweet Orange and the interestingly named Natalie Portman's Shaved Head. Check out the dates below. Audrye Sessions is singer/songwriter Ryan Karazija's brain child, and it's undeniably Karazija's smooth falsetto of a vocal that anchors this indie rock quartet's refreshing sound.
