AC/DC's comeback album Black Ice, released just three weeks ago, has already sold over a million copies according to Rolling Stone.

The success of the album has been a pleasant surprise for the Aussie legends. Waiting eight years between albums, their last disc Stiff Upper Lip was released in 2000, and inciting a ploy that brought back a heavily nostalgic sound similar to their '70s heyday has payed dividends. Black Ice sold 270,000 copies this past week, nearly 100,000 more than the #2 album of the week, Pink's Funhouse.

It may be a tougher challenge for AC/DC to keep the top spot when next week's charts come out. Oklahoma's post-grunge rockers Hinder released their sophomore album Take It to the Limit on November 4th and fully expect to make a run at #1.

Other albums that debuted along with Pink's Funhouse this week on the charts include Snow Patrol's A Hundred Million Suns, which you should expect to see a review of in the coming days. We do have reviews posted for the following new albums though, The Cure's 4:13 Dream debuted at #16, the Eagles of Death Metal's Heart On was #57 and Deerhunter's Microcastle snuck in at #123. Queen's first studio album with former Bad Company singer Paul Rodgers had a decidedly disappointing debut at #47.
