Jihae - After Thought Review

While some music these days is centered around heavy guitars, blasting lyrics, flowing rap vocals or heavier than the atom bomb bass; there are some things that need to make you feel centered and calmed. One of those things is Jihae’s new remix album After Thought.

In the world of whiney emo music, heavy metal, thumping rap bass and all around terrible lyrics; there are some artists that create beautiful works of art using the simplest of music, as it calms your nerves and makes you feel a sense of well being. While this album is just a remix EP, the appetizer to her new album in the works, Elvis is still Alive; it is a wonderful expression of what Jihae does and the elegant music she can make.

Her tracks that show her ability the most are definitely “Simple Man” and “Faint Remix,” those two tracks are amazing and plain at the sametime. While she is relatively unknown, she is most definitely a diamond in the wide rough. With such wide spectrum's of music to chose from today, most of which sound identical, she can easily stand out as a unique artist with exceptional skills with music making and singing. Her voice is beautiful and poetic, and as I said before it is a soothing melody for your ears.

Being a short 5 tack EP, After Thought justmakes me want more. I love her voice and the music she has is just amazing. If you’re looking for something new to get into, this is a universally appealing answer. As a metal, hard rock and some hip-hop fan, I gotta say that she is nice and fresh to the music world. This is worth the $5 to buy the EP or the $0.99 to buy a single track. It is like a musical dollar menu. I know we’re in a recession but this is worth way more than dollar.

Overall, she has great lyrics, a beautiful voice, catchy music and is easy on the eyes. Her remixs are good and her regular tracks are just as good if not better. Like I said it is just a dollar to get one song which you can purchase from amazon.com, and I promise you that you'll will be surprised at how well formulated she really is. She is very talented and does it without what most American female artists need, which is more than their voice. Her voice is damn near angelic.
