The Ring Two Review

The Ring Two is the sequel of the popular movie The Ring. In this sequel, Rachel, Aidan's mother has moved to Oregon in order to leave behind all that happened back in Seattle. She is not very happy with her new job compared to her job as a reporter back in Seattle. Even though she is not pleased with her new job, she did it in order to get Aidan away from the cursed video that was in the first Ring movie. According to the story, if you watch the video, you will die in 7 days. In this sequel, you can be saved from the video by showing someone else the video before your 7 days are up and then the problem would be on the person that last watched it.

The tape makes its way into Oregon and Rachel finds out that the thing they ran away from has found them once again. This time Samara, the host girl from the video tape, wants to take over Aidan's body so that she can have a mother.

The actors, sound effects, and camera angels were great in the movie but the story line needed some serious help.

If you liked the first Ring then you will most likely like this sequel as well, but if you didn't like the first one then don't even bother with this one. The sequel is not as good as the first one. It does not have as much mystery and suspense as the first one.

The tempo of the movie was pretty calm and relaxed with few suspense and scary scenes here and there, but other then that this movie can bore you a couple of times. It felt like it was a weak effort and was just made to make more money at the box office rather then give movie fans a great movie to watch.

If someone was to ask me if I recommend seeing this movie I would say yes. Not because it was great, but because if you don't like this one in the theaters, there's definitely no chance of liking it by waiting for it to come out on DVD. You won't get half the effect of the movie by seeing it on television compared to seeing it in the theaters.

With all this said, The Ring Two does not live up to the first one and is pretty much a corny sequel, but it is still worth watching it if you liked the first one and would like to know how the story ends.
