First of all I'm going to state that this was probably going to be a good movie, because it was based on a true story of someone called Jack Morrison.
The movie starts off in a 20 story building, where there was a fire. They were trying to find survivors in the building. As they were looking, they found one survivor. The firefighters then asked if anyone else was in the building and he said yes. Jack Morrison then said he was going to go look for the other survivor while the others would bring the other survivor to safety. As he was looking for the survivor the building started to collapse and he ends up falling down a hole. As he was lying there, that's basically where the whole movie starts. He basically goes back 10 years to where he started firefighting. It then shows where he meets his wife. They then have 2 kids together. He goes through tough times because his wife and kids don't really want him to firefight because he lost a close friend and seen people get injured. They wouldn't want that to happen to him. Then it eventually goes back to the scene of where he is lying down throughout the movie.
I really didn't want to give to much detail, because I don't want this to be a spoiler. Overall it's a great movie to see with the family. It's a bit sad at some points. Almost had a few tears here and there. In other words it's a must see.
