Loren Battle - Words Begin Wars Review

Oh thank the Gods! Loren Battle has recently released a stellar album entitled, Words Begin Wars. It is an astounding album that achieves a wonderful mix of rock and heavy metal. They do the genres together with heavy guitars and beats as well as deep lyrics mixed with lighter melodic lyrics. I think this is one if the best things that a lot of bands can do today as it keeps fans in a loop of mixture. While you listen to this album you will immerse yourself in some true quality rock.

As I said, this album is grade A damn good. As far as metal and rock go, this is an exotic band to look at, not only do they bring heavy sounds and great chemistry, but have great vocals and no song overlaps another. From the blast beats in, "3ft Funeral" to the beautiful melodies of "Werewolves in Love" this is one of the most solid albums out now.
I normally try to find any kind of problems within any albums or tracks, but with Loren Battle everything was done so well and so raw that finding a single obvious problem is truly hard.

One of my favorite (and one of the most catchy) tracks on the album is the short but sweet, "Paper Hearts & Scissors." While the track itself only clocks in at 2:55, it shows the abilities of Loren Battle's lyrical, sound and rock ability. Trust me, this is something that I highly recommend to give a look. This is a sleeper album that will go under the radar, but don't be fooled, it is one of the most enjoyable and solid albums out there right now.

Go to their Myspace (listed above as the band's website) or Youtube and listen to "Remember the Archer." Right away you'll see how hardcore and kick ass Loren Battle is. From heavy lyrics to ripping guitar sounds and great drumming by Ryan who also does the back-up vocals for the band. All of the members are talented and really know how to play their style and do it well.

To the finale of the review we are! What I want you to do is go to Amazon and see the steal of a price you are getting for Loren Battle's album, Words Begin Wars. At 8.99 it is the same price as Metallica's Death Magnetic, but Loren Battle has a much more fresh and determined sound on their album - and damn is it obvious. Loren Battle has an amazing sound, deep hard lyrics and terrific musician work. When the album starts you get an awesome intro that follows into "A Hero's Nightmare," and from there it is just rock ecstasy. This is a must own for rock and metal fans as Loren Battle is an up and coming band that deserves exposure for the great work they have done with this album. I Hope to hear more as soon as possible.

"Words Begin Wars" is on sale February 25, 2008 from Self Released.
