Pearl Jam - Yield Review

This is by far the best Pearl Jam record I have heard from them throughout their career. Don’t get me wrong I wish I had a voice like Eddie Vedder because it is a voice of someone that really knows how to rock out. But I think that all of their live albums and even some of their non-live ones have been mixed horribly, I mean come on now! It’s hard enough trying to understand what’s coming out of Eddie mouths, and hey maybe he wants it that way. But on the live albums you can barely hear anything let alone the front man’s voice.

This one is different though, it starts off with a very typical Pearl Jam song, loud, fast and kick-ass rock and roll. But the rest of it is very smooth but is still rocking and any song with Eddie’s voice rocks hard. He has such a unique voice it draws me in every time I hear it.

I have always been a fan of the Jam and this album is no exception, if they keep this up, Pearl Jam fans will have a lot of awesome new tunes coming their way.

They have been out doing themselves over and over again. You can look at a lot of bands that have had a couple of big hits here and there but they have always stuck with us. We look at them through the years and they have given us so many great songs through the years starting with their debut album “Rear View Mirror” songs on this include “Even Flow”, “Jeremy” and “Daughter”

All of these on the same C.D. and that’s just to name a few. They come out with a series of live albums and I even like a few of them.

They have had a successful career and I know it doesn’t end here. They took some time off and have now gone back on tour. After much time their newly anticipated album “Pear Jam” was released May 2 2006. I have bought and been listening to it over the summer getting hyped to go see them in concert with Tom Petty in St. Paul Minnesota. They ROCKED and I got a free shirt.

In the end, they will be deemed as one of the best rock bands of all time, but you’re going to have to chill for a while because the end is not in sight for these rockers.
